Meet Dr. Kathy Wither

Kathy Wither, D.Min. is the director of the Family Life Office for the Archdiocese of New York. Her Office coordinates pastoral and educational programs and discerns the need for new initiatives based on the God-given definition of marriage and family. After being widowed with two young children, she remarried and has been happily married for 25 years and together with her husband they have five children.


In addition to two degrees in administration, Kathy holds a master’s degree in theology and a doctorate in ministry. Her master’s thesis centered on Pope Paul VI’s positive message in Humanae Vitae about love, sex, and marriage. Her doctoral thesis focused on how the Church ministers to persons with mental illness and their families.
