Catholic Education

Mercedarian Sister with Student

The Mercedarian Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament serve the Catholic Church through the ministry of teaching; pre-K3 to college level.

In the United States, we work in parochial elementary schools (Pre-K 3 to 8th).

We serve the Church in

Our Lady of Mount Carmel School, Diocese of Cleveland, Ohio.

Saint John of the Cross School, Diocese of San Diego, California.

We have a prayer center where, among other ministries, religious classes are imparted to adults.

At this prayer center, God's people, young and old, regardless of religion or circumstance, suffering from a debilitating or terminal illness, with their families and their supporting community, have a place of serenity that will provide them with nurturing support and comfort. Those who want spiritual counsel and have a need to develop a deeper personal relationship with the Lord can find solace and guidance.

Continuing the journey - a place to make memories

In Louisiana, the incidence of cancer and other debilitating, sometimes terminal illness, is among the highest in the United States. While our community aggressively battles this alarming reality, it must also reach out to the sick and dying to address their needs–including the provision of spiritual guidance and comfort for them and their families.
